Easter 2012

The day before Easter, our church did an Easter Egg Hunt.  We don't do a whole lot of "extra" stuff for Easter, but we did head out to gather as many eggs as we could!  Eliah had a blast, and Joel was a bit confused, I think....  :)

On Easter Sunday, Eliah and I went to our church's sunrise service and breakfast.  Just us girls.  We had a nice time together thinking about the resurrection of Christ and what it means to us.  Eliah loved the part  in the story where Mary finds the empty tomb.  She is still asking to read that story out of her Jesus Storybook Bible!  We also learned a new song for Easter:  "Up from the grave He arose..."  It is beyond precious to hear that 3 year old mouth speak and sing of the Risen Lord!

And of course we had to get some pictures in our "Easter" clothes.

Undeserving are we of life we are given, and undeserving are we of mercy, but thankful for the resurrection that gives us LIFE, the Son who gives us MERCY, and our great God who gives us JOY because he loves us.  Happy Resurrection Day!
