It is so hard to believe that our precious girl is three!!!!
Two days old
One year
Two years
Time goes so quickly and makes me even more thankful that I am able to stay at home and soak in all the moments I possibly can!!! Here are some things about our amazing daughter as she hits her three year mark:
- Eliah loves to sing and dance. Her favorite songs are Hark the Herald Angles Sing, Away in the Manger (aka Baby Jesus), Joy to the World, The Noah Song, Hokie Pokie, My Hope is Built and the ABC's.
- She is a champ at learning memory verses. She knows "In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth," "Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another as Christ forgave you," "Children, obey your parents in the Lord for this is right," "Glory to God in the highest and on earth, peace, good will toward men," and "As for me and my house, we will SERVE THE LORD."
- She can spell her name (not write it, but spell it out loud).
- She can write the letters E, D and P.
- She can draw some awesome people!
- She is great a tracing lines in school time.
- She can color inside the lines beautifully.
- She can count to 19 with a little strangeness in the middle (12, 13, 16, 17, 18, 19, 11).
- She thinks that singing the ABC's loudly can cure anything (like Brother's crying, or slow cars in front of us, or making the rain go away.)
- She is all the time making up stories. Mostly about giants. Or God.
- She loves to make "towers" with the cushions off the couch and all the pillows she can find.
- She's a pro at riding her tricycle.
- She is the BEST big sister ever!
- She is a GREAT helper. She helps me set dinner on the table every night, she helps with the dishes, she helps with cleaning the bathrooms, she runs the sweeper over the floors, she makes the beds, she helps me cook.
- She has a kind and gentle spirit. She is tenderhearted toward others. She is a little shy.
- She LOVES to laugh at silly words.
- She says often "Joel, you so funny!"
- She loves for her mommy and daddy to do things with her, like build towers, color, play with her doll house...
- She LOVES to run!
- She hates uncomfortable clothes and often talks about how her clothes "hurts me."
- She cannot stand to have any part of her hands or arms or clothes wet.
- She is 100% potty trained (and has been for about 4-5 months).
- Her vocabulary amazes me, but she still says t's for k's and d's for g's and sometimes leaves out the middle consonant in a word (tuh-ees for cookies, tar for car, dood for good...)
- She says "Shoot" when she's aggravated.
- She hates wearing socks.
- She loves to have her hair in braided pig tails.
- She loves the color red.
- Her favorite movies are Despicable Me, Tangled, and the Lion King.
- Her favorite shows are Little Einsteins, Dora and Caillou.
- She loves stickers.
- She loves chocolate (M&M's especially).
- She is SO independent! She mostly dresses herself, with a little help with shirts and tying her shoes.
We love this girl so much! We see God's grace in her so often. She is quick to correct her harsh words, she is quick to love those around her wholeheartedly. She finds joy in small things. She has a way of brightening up a room. Tony sometimes uses the word smitten to describe how he feels about his daughter. We are both indeed smitten by this little treasure that God has blessed us with! Thankful for God's goodness to us in letting us be a part of her precious life. Happy 3rd Birthday to the most beautiful and best big sister and daughter in the world!
She is beautiful Jenn! Happy Birthday Eliah!
