Picnic With Mommy

A few weeks back (when we didn't have a heat index in the 100's), Eliah and I went on a little picnic. We took our lunch, a ball, some bubbles, and her baby and went to Cherokee Park--our favorite place to be outside! There's a big field with some soccer goals (which we will make use of as soon as Eliah can kick a ball) and in the corner of the field there's a great shade tree. We packed up the stroller and headed to the tree! Both of us LOVE to be outside, so, of course, we had a great time!
Eliah with our little lunch. Man, does she LOVE nectarines! She ate most of the first one, until we dropped it on the ground, and then she devoured the second one... and this was after she'd eaten her sandwich!

She loves drinking out of my water bottle. In fact, this is the only way she'll drink just plain water.
After lunch, her first activity was the grab her brown sugar baby and run around Mommy as many times as possible!

The next activity was to take a break and look adorable.

More looking adorable.

Then, she spent forever trying to put on her shoes.

Finally got one of the shoes on... And you can hardly tell, but just slightly to her right, near the ground, is a little white butterfly. She chased it all around the field!

More looking adorable...

I am so thankful for times like these. A reflection of heaven. Ahhh....
