After a night of not such good rest, Tony and I got the shuttle from our hotel to take us a few hundred yards down the road to Denny's for breakfast (they took our meal vouchers that Delta gave us). Why take a shuttle a few hundred yards? Because it is painful to try to walk that far when you are dressed for 70 degree weather and when the actual temperature in Minneapolis is 4 degrees! Burr!
After Denny's, we spent some quiet time at the hotel then gathered our belongings and headed to the airport. We spent the rest of the afternoon chatting, reading, and walking around the airport and finally boarded our plane around 2:30pm with snow falling! We were finally on our way to Amsterdam...
We had a long flight but we watched movies, slept, read and tried our best to be comfortable. When our flights were rescheduled, we lost our seating preferences and ended up sitting in the middle of the middle rows on the airplane. Despite all the things that were just not going the way we planned, we were excited to be on our journey again!
